The Bill Petitti Quartet is lead by multi-reed player Bill Petitti (tenor and soprano saxes and flute). A seasoned veteran who got his start in Chicago during his teen years and furthered his studies at the Dick Grove School of Music, Bill has continued to mature as a musician by playing in a variety of settings and nurturing his composition and arranging skills. He has performed with Joe McKinley and Van Courtland, among others.
Rick Wallace (bass) has been playing since his early teens and has performed in New York as well as being in demand locally. A long time student of Bay Area great Glenn Richmond, Rick has honed his skills at the California Jazz Conservatory as well as performing with Bill for the last 5 years.
Mike Muschell (drums) had his start in Connecticut and has performed in New York and Boston as well as with many local musicians. He is a veteran of the California Jazz Conservatory who has been playing with Bill the last several years.
Tim Cleary (guitar) is a graduate of GIT and has been playing for over fifty years. He has played at the Montreux/Detroit Jazz Festival several times and has recently shared the stage with John Stowell, Christian Howes, and Howard Alden. Tim is a local guitar teacher and has been playing with Bill the last several years as well.
The Bill Petitti Quartet has performed locally at The Atlas Cafe, Mr. Tipples, Riggers Loft and Cafe Chaive as well as private and corporate events.
