9:30pm – Frankie Bourne & The Wildcards w/ Brotherly Mud

Saturday, August 17 @ 9:30 pm - 2:00 am

Frankie Bourne is a singer-songwriter from the San Francisco Bay Area. On his 2015 acoustic-laced debut studio album, Californicana, Frankie took a stance as a solo artist and emerged on the scene equipped with infectious roots-rock songs, an authentic indie sound, and “a smoky, quick-tongued lyrical quality that can change speeds like a Zack Greinke change-up” (Christopher Millard, San Jose Rock Music Examiner).

Produced by LA producer Marc Danzeisen (Riverdogs), and featuring guitarists Johnny Hawthorn (Toad The Wet Sprocket, Everclear) and Manny Alvarez (Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, Black Crowes), his first solo effort has been incredibly well-received by Indie, Rock and Americana radio stations nationwide, and won an award for best love song on the Jango Radio 2015 Valentine’s Day Playlist, who call it, “a refreshing roots rock record for the 21st Century”.
After a sold out record release show at the historic (and now permanently
closed) House of Blues on the SunsetStrip, and a 15 city west coast tour, Frankie supported the record with a sporadically changing group of players in the LA club scene. At times his band included keyboardist Carey Frank (Tedeschi Trucks Band), saxophonist Jeremy Trezona (Saint Motel), bassists Andrew Perusi (Hanson) and Rusty Lowrey, and drummer Clinton Cameron (Fishbone), to name a few.

After six years in the Los Angeles music scene Frankie returned to his native San Francisco Bay Area in 2016 where his new band, Frankie Bourne and the Wildcards, have quickly made a name for themselves in The Bay Area’s North Bay for their explosive guitar-driven live shows, and their melodic authentic sound. Rooted in classic rock, Bourne’s indie songwriting blends alt-country with dirty blues-rock, hints of post- grunge and tones of college rock. Featuring drummer Jeff Nassi (Meredith Brooks, Fillmore Slim), guitarist Sunil Sharma (Alison Harris, Reality Check), and bassist Matt Pasquale (Gravity Hill), Frankie Bourne and the Wildcards deliver infectious, moody roots-rock songs that, “combines the style of new Americana with all the things you loved about 90s adult alternative bands” (TourWorthy.com).

In Spring 2018 they entered legendary Prairie Sun Studios in Sonoma County to track their debut album, set to release in the new year. Summer 2018 they played the main stage at Sonoma Vintage Festival, opening for Commander Cody and the Western Airmen. In fall 2018 Frankie spoke at a TED Talk in Sonoma County where the band then also performed an original song from their upcoming album.

Brotherly Mud is the 60’s and 70’s folk tradition continued into the modern day, taking influence from today’s songwriters while respecting yesterday’s honesty. A collective on the leading edge of Americana and Sacramento’s ‘best up-and-coming Americana band’, Brotherly Mud’s truly unique amalgam of influence bridges the gap of folk, indie, pop and singer/songwriter music with heart, staunch musical prowess and profound wordsmithery.
