Originally made up entirely of musicians from Clif Bar, The Grove Valve Orchestra has gone on to become an accomplished 11 piece Funk and R&B Orchestra, having shared the bill with the Funky Meters, Nahko and Medicine for the People, the Mother Hips and others. In 2012, the band was honored by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland OH, as “The Best Corporate Band in America”. Founded in the East Bay, their music and setlist is deeply rooted in funk and R&B. The band’s mission is to support non-profit organizations, and to date the band has raised over $1 million dollars for non-profit organizations, and played across the United States.
