5pm – No Room For Zeus
Sunday, January 26 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pmFree
No Room For Zeus formed in late 2015 in a Corte Madera garage, on an unusually damp evening in the midst of the long California drought. Musicians Dave Collman, Josh Paul, Jason Armstrong and Tom Stickley initially hoped to score an occasional diversion from the demands of parenthood. As the four friends played, the musicianship emerged, and what began as a leisurely pursuit in that first session evolved into a formal band with professional ambition. The band spent the next year and a half expanding their repertoire, and polishing their sound and presentation, while playing a few private parties. With a line-up of guitar, bass, drums, and keys, along with four well-equipped voices, No Room For Zeus performs popular Rock, Country, and Folk/Americana from the 60s on through the current millennia, from bands such as the Doors, CCR, Johnny Cash, Rolling Stones, Wilco, and Dire Straits. The song list was constructed with thoughtful attention to engaging tempo and rhythm and a strong focus on recognizable melodies and vocal harmonies.
