9pm – A Tribute to the Allman Brothers Band + Danny Montana
Saturday, April 25 @ 9:00 pm - 1:00 am$10.00
Freestone Peaches is Northern California’s premier Allman Brothers Band tribute. Featuring dual harmony lead guitars, double drums, Tractor Bass, Hammond organ and an exceptional vocalist, you’ll be on your feet while the band is hittin’ the note! Freestone Peaches captures the feel, excitement and raw energy of the Allman Brothers Band live in concert.
The SF Bay Area based band is comprised of veteran jam, jazz, blues, rock, country and Allman Brothers Band enthusiasts, Freestone Peaches features Ned Patchett on lead/slide guitar (Duane Allman), Jeff Faust on bass (Berry Oakley), Michael Berry on lead guitar (Dickey Betts), Mark Corsolini on drums (Butch Trucks), John Hanrahan on drums (Jai Johanny “Jaimoe” Johanson), Jefferson Bergey on vocals (Gregg Allman) and Paul Rustigian on B3/keyboards (Gregg Allman).
Starting the evening is Marin’s own Danny Montana. Danny Morrison blames his affinity for country music on a Columbia Record Club error that sent him George Jones’ Greatest Hits instead of the Kinks’ Greatest Hits when he was 12 years old. Danny was a regular at Huey Lewis’s infamous “Monday Night Live” sessions at Uncle Charlie’s in the 70’s and plays regular monthly performances at Peri’s Silver Dollar Bar in Fairfax and The Old Western Saloon in Point Reyes Station. Since then, he’s brought in other well-known local musicians to form one of the Bay Area’s hottest country bands, Danny Montana & the Bar Association.
